Our PHJC Volunteer Program brings compassionate men and women together to respond where there is great need. In collaboration with other PHJC ministries, teams of Volunteers— some from far-flung locations like Maryland, Hawaii, Wisconsin, Florida, and Bogota, Colombia—have served alongside the Sisters and coworkers in the U.S., Kenya and Mexico. Volunteers delivered comfort and supplies to those desperately trying to cross the Mexico/U.S. border; provided food and basic necessities to families in Marshall County and at Sojourner Truth House; and helped in various ministries at the Motherhouse, including the PHJC Greenhouse, MoonTree Studios, and Maria Center.
